Bahar Bloom Collection
Bahar Bloom Tribal Runner | Cream
An open field framed in tribal saddlebag borders — boteh and cypress down the sides, miniature panels across the ends. The quiet one of the two.
The same Tribal design as a long, narrow runner — made for hallways, entryways and the side of the bed.

The story behind the design
This one begins with a saddlebag.
Nomadic families carried khorjin — a pair of woven pouches joined by a strap, thrown over a horse or a camel, holding everything a household needed on the move. The outer face of each pouch was where the weaver spent her skill: a panel of small framed squares, every one filled with a different motif. These bags were used hard and made beautifully. For many families they were the finest woven thing they owned.
Over time weavers began putting those same bag panels into rugs. That is the row of small squares running across the top and bottom of this design — saddlebag faces, laid end to end.
The empty middle comes from a different habit. Nomadic weavers often left the center bare, letting the wool and the dye carry the rug on their own. The color shifts and streaks slightly across the surface, because wool dyed in small batches never came out perfectly even. Weavers never considered that a flaw. It is the mark of the dye lot, and the reason no two rugs are quite the same.
Two old habits, one rug.

Frequently Asked Questions
No — it is machine-made in Turkey. The design comes from hand-knotted Afghan and Persian rugs, but this is a machine weave. That is why it costs a fraction of a hand-knotted piece, and why the pattern is even across every rug.
No. Polyester pile does not shed the way wool does. You may see a little loose fiber in the first week or two of vacuuming, which is normal and stops quickly.
Yes. The pile is low at 7 mm, tightly woven, and cleans up easily. It handles paws and spills better than a high-pile or wool rug.
Close, but screens vary. Expect the real rug to read slightly warmer than what you see. If exact color matters, order the size you want and use the 30-day return window to check it in your own light.
On hardwood or tile, yes — it stops sliding and adds cushion. On carpet you do not need one. We do not sell pads; any standard felt-and-rubber pad cut to size works.
It is an indoor rug. Polyester handles moisture better than wool, but the backing is not built for weather.
Blot with a clean cloth and cool water — do not rub. For anything stubborn, mild detergent and cool water. Never bleach.
Measure the table and add 24 inches on every side so chairs stay on the rug when pulled out. For most six-seat tables that is the 8' x 10'.
Yes. Tribal and Medallion have fringe on the ends. To keep it neat, vacuum with the suction only and avoid running the brush over the fringe.
